Bubbly for All!

As the only Minnesota winery specializing in locally-made sparkling wines, we welcome you to experience a taste of Minnesota like none other.

Enjoy our house-made sparkling wines made from local grapes, along with hard ciders and still wines in our charming tasting room or on our patio.

Minnesota grown sparkling wines

While you won't see any vineyards when you visit our tasting room in downtown Jordan (other than the short row of Itasca grape vines bordering our patio), rest assured that we buy grapes from local growers in Minnesota and Wisconsin, so we can focus on what we do best: making delicious sparkling wines.

Our building was built by the Langer family circa 1895 using Chaska brick. The Langers ran a butcher shop and meat market where they butchered, smoked, and sold meat until the 1960s.

After the butcher shop closed, the building became home to other ventures including the public library, a florist shop, and an antique shop.

In December 2019, Josie and Micah bought the property and began renovations for the winery in January 2020.

We opened in September 2020 in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. Needless to say, it was a strange time to open a hospitality business! Our patio space became essential as we struggled with social distancing and managing visitors when we couldn't gather in large groups.

Dry white bubbly

Our Dry White Bubbly Charmat Method Sparkling Wine underwent a secondary natural fermentation in a pressure tank to produce its persistent, lively bubbles. The wine expresses notes of lemon zest, fresh bread, and toast on the nose, with some minerality on the palate. It is a medium-bodied wine that pairs well with appetizers, charcuterie and cheese, and creamy poultry dishes.

Blend: 75% Frontenac Blanc, 25% Itasca

Our Rosé Bubbly is made in the Charmat Method, where it underwent a secondary yeast fermentation in a pressure tank. The result is a complex wine with toasty notes from the yeast alongside strawberry and cherry notes from the base wine. Enjoy it on a summer day with barbecued meats.

Blend: 30% Frontenac Gris, 27% Marquette, 25% Frontenac, 11% Itasca, 7% La Crescent

Sweet rose bubbly

Our Sweet Rosé Bubbly is sweet with red fruit notes that give way to a long, delightful finish. For those who like it sweet, here is your bubbly! Enjoy it with strawberry shortcake or cherry pie.

Rosso (Italian for Red) is a slightly sweet, red effervescent wine, expressing notes of wild raspberries and cherries with a light body and soft effervescence. Reminiscent of a sweet red Lambrusco of Italy, this wine is great for pizza or pasta night, or enjoy it with pork or duck with a cherry reduction.

the Founders

Award-winning winemaker Josie Boyle and her business partner and husband Micah Lennox are putting the state of Minnesota on the map for exceptional handcrafted artisanal small batch sparkling wines. Both natives of Minnesota, Josie and Micah share a love for locally-grown ingredients to be showcased in premier sparkling wines. Following years as a winemaker in New Zealand, Iowa, and in Michigan at L Mawby Vineyards, it was time for Josie to take what she learned across the world back home where she quickly established herself as a celebrated member of the Chankaska Creek Ranch & Winery team as assistant winemaker.

Hand in hand, Josie and Micah – who is a respected regional homebrewer and contractor – dreamed of one day opening their own winery to specialize in Minnesota sparkling wines.

Married in August 2015, the two wine mega-enthusiasts have set out to pursue an ambitious venture to produce wines at the caliber of their contemporaries in Napa/Sonoma Valleys and New York’s Hudson Valley region.

Today, Josie and Micah are hard at work running their winery in a charming turn-of-the-20th-century brick building in the quaint town of Jordan, MN. Located just beyond the Southwestern suburbs of Minneapolis, Jordan is amongst the banks of the Minnesota River, just off of Highway 169. The Renaissance Festival, Mystic Lake Casino, Minnesota's largest candy store, and Canterbury Park are within a close drive.
